DiDa Festival 2025: open call for artists!

Apply to be part of the DiDa – Disability Day Art & Action festival in Helsinki! 

Application period: April 4 to August 10, 2025

The festival aims to raise awareness of the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities, spark debate and feature art by people with disabilities and sign language users. DiDa is free of charge. 

The 2025 festival will take place in the Cultural Centre Caisa Hall on December 3, 2025 from 14:00-21:00. More information about the venue: Caisa – Hall. More information about the accessibility of Caisa: Caisa – Accessibility

Do you or your group want to bring your art to the public and let it be heard, seen, felt and experienced? This year’s theme is “Use your voice”. You can apply to present the art of your choice. This year we are focusing on performing arts applications.

Please send your application with samples of your work by 10.8.2025 to: info.disabilityday@gmail.com.

  • Have you previously participated as a DiDa Festival artist?

  • Artwork details / performance duration (5-30 min.)
  • How does the work relate to disability?

  • Work samples
  • Fee request. Please note: we have a limited budget.
  • Other considerations, e.g. access rider

If you are selected for our programme

We will need print-ready marketing materials from you (presentation text and a press photo at 300 DPI). By submitting the material, you give consent to DiDa to their usage.
